The UDS Data Mapper is a Web based application that allows Liquidators to quickly and easily create UDS records for distribution to the Guaranty Associations. A screencast of the basic functions of the Data Mapper can be found on the Training page.
Access to the Mapper
Access to the Mapper is granted on a “by liquidator” basis. A request for a Data Mapper account can be generated here. The request is reviewed by IT staff and, if deemed appropriate, the account is activated.
Overview
All data kept in the mapper is isolated into Liquidator silos. That is, Liquidators can only see their data and no other data. The Mapper is used by liquidators to create, manage and distribute UDS records to Guaranty Funds.
CSV to UDS workflow
- Liquidator logs on to the Data Mapper.
- The user uploads a CSV file of their claims data via the mapper.
- The user creates a visual map to represent the relationship between their CSV and the UDS values.
- The CSV and the map are combined to produce UDS records. These records are automatically imported into the mapper.
- The user must review the errors page to see which of their records failed to import.
- If there are errors, they must be corrected and just the error records should be re-imported.
- Once the user is satisfied all their data is in the Mapper, they then send the UDS records to the Guaranty Funds.
- The user, along with the Guaranty Funds, are sent an email stating they can download their UDS records from the SUDS server.
